Hm... that varies from week to week, but at least three hours a day. With work, my son and my fiance, I don't have a lot of time to write, but I manage to write early in the morning and when I have a chance to slip away.

I've only started writing recently. I spend about three to four hours in writing each day. I might spend more time in writing in the future as my kids are getting older and require less attention from me.

If writing includes research then I spend the better part of the day writing, because I start here in the morning and finish here at night. When I am working on my manuscripts though, I spend over 5 hours doing that. Since you have asked and coming to think of it, I spend way more time writing than I actually think or feel I do because there is always an unfinished project. I am one of those people who is never really satisfied with doing only one thing at a time for a long time, my mind refuses to stop or let off.

Hmm I spend about 4 hours a day writing - either hubs, my website (still under construction) and for clients. I'm writing at present :D.
What about you? I guess you write a lot as well.

I don't write as much as I should but I do try to write a little everyday even if it's only on my writing pad. My day job wears me out and sometimes I can't seem to do much more than chill. I am a slow writer because I won't start to write until I'm satisfied with my research.

I love writing and reading, and I can spend 12 hours reading and 12 hours writing :) but unfortunately due to my job now a days I don't get to write to the degree that I desire. Now I spend about only one hour daily for my site, my thesis and everything.

Not much. I may go for days without writing anything, and then spend three hours banging out a story. It's just my way, though, and not a reccomendation.

I write when I can. I work 35 hours a week so do't get to write as much as I want. I write at least a paragraph for an article every day so an hour or so before or after work. On my days off I can spend a full 8 hours (an average work shift for me) writing either articles, poems or stories.

When I write for fun (which isn't as much as I'd like to), I usually don't spend too much time. I spit it all out on a page and edit as I go, and scan it quickly afterwards. I write fast, and that probably leads to a few unseen errors which I really should work on fixing. I usually spend about a half hour on blog posts.
On academic writing I usually spend 2-3 hours, depending on the page length. The preparation process takes about 2-3 hours. That includes a detailed outline, electronic notes from my sources along with helpful quotations, an ordering of the sources with quick reference numbers to serve as a citation placeholder, and highlighted points that are essential to the paper.

Typically, I decide according to the personal writing goals I set at 4AM when my day starts. Usually, I write whenever it's convient having to sometimes make time to scribe. Like exercise, I have to make the time to complete the projects, but usually 4-6 hrs at a time. Again, it depends on the day and personal project that I am trying to complete.
